Recognising commercial material

Content promoting a merchant through affiliate links must be recognisable as advertising before you engage with that promotion. Relevant articles or sections should carry a clear label such as “Advertisement — affiliate links”, with a short commission explanation before the first commercial link. Sponsored content and other paid arrangements must be identified separately where applicable. A footer notice alone is not a substitute for a clear label on the relevant material.

The presence of a retailer name does not itself mean every link is monetised. General editorial articles without commercial consideration should not be labelled as paid advertising. Commercial labels describe a relationship, not a guarantee of quality or a claim that we personally tested a product.
