Who is responsible for this website?
CozyGlobetrotter at salcor.biz is operated by Salcor Ltd. Our contact address is Revontulentie 4 F 100, 00740 Helsinki, Finland. For privacy enquiries, email info@salcor.biz. This notice concerns information handled for our publication, not a retailer’s checkout or a separate affiliate network’s services.
Information used and why
If you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, your message and its attachments. We use this information to answer enquiries, consider corrections and deal with partnerships or complaints. Please do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive medical information. Providing contact details is voluntary, but without a reply address we cannot respond privately.
Serving the website can involve technical records such as IP address, time, requested address, browser details and security events. These are used to deliver pages, investigate faults, prevent abuse and protect the publication. Where comments are enabled, information you submit for publication may be visible to readers; do not put private information into a public comment.
Our basis for ordinary correspondence and proportionate security work is legitimate interests: responding to readers and maintaining a reliable, safe publication. Where a request involves entering a contract, we use the information necessary to take the requested steps. Legal obligations may require particular records. Optional marketing communications and non-essential advertising storage require the appropriate consent; contacting us does not subscribe you to marketing.
Affiliate referrals and external websites
Some articles contain affiliate links, including links connected with Webgains. Clicking one may pass referral information to a network or retailer. Their notices explain their own processing, cookies, attribution and retention. We do not receive your retailer payment details through an ordinary referral link. Depending on the programme, reporting may show referral activity, order references, transaction values and commission status; information available to a publisher is not a complete customer account.
The roles of a retailer and affiliate network depend on their arrangements. They are not all automatically our processors. See Webgains’ privacy information and the destination retailer’s notice before making a purchase. Our Cookie Policy explains the distinction between our presentation layer and destination-site tracking.
Service providers, security and retention
Website hosting, email delivery, maintenance and security providers may process information necessary to supply those services. Access should be limited to the work required. Disclosure may also be necessary to satisfy a legal duty or resolve a legal claim. We cannot guarantee the security of every internet transmission; if you suspect a privacy incident involving our site, please email us with the relevant URL and time.
We keep enquiry records while the matter is active and for the period reasonably needed for follow-up, dispute handling or applicable record-keeping duties. Security logs should be retained according to incident risk and operational need, not indefinitely by default. Records no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised. Ask us for the retention criteria applicable to your particular enquiry.
Our operator is in Finland and readers may be in the UK or elsewhere. Providers or referral destinations may operate in other countries. Where we arrange a restricted international transfer, an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguard is required. Contact us for information about the provider, destination and safeguards applicable to your data; third-party retailers answer questions about their own transfers.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the processing and applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information. You may withdraw consent for processing based on consent, without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Right to object: you may object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing. Send the request to info@salcor.biz. We may need proportionate information to verify a request before disclosing personal data. These rights have legal exceptions; we will explain a restriction rather than promise unconditional deletion of legally required records.
You may raise a complaint with Finland’s Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman, your competent EU supervisory authority, or, where the UK rules apply, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not have to contact us first to exercise that right.
Changes
The date above identifies this version. If our services or data practices change, this notice must be reviewed. An article’s publication date does not mean that every external site’s current privacy practices have been checked.
